It’s hard for me to understand why is Rapid made such a favorite in this game. Two things might be the facts CFR played at Basel on Wednesday and that they did not win against Rapid in the past couple of seasons.

Rapid has one of the weakest rosters since ages and this is obvious from the standings and their gameplay. Their summer preparation was a total fiasco and the players transferred are either bad or injured. The players also don’t get along with the coach and the fans aren’t supporting them like they used to. Rui Duarte and Ilijoski are doubtful while new signing Bilasco is not yet fit to play.

CFR managed an excellent result at Basel in the midweek and, despite being dominated for the first 60 minutes, the result could have been way bigger in their favor. They’ve had a lot of ups and downs in the league, the last one being an embarrassing slump against Iasi at home but they can gain focus against tougher opponents. Deac is injured while Muresan is suspended but both can be easily replaced since they have a great roster.

The morale is sky high in CFR’s camp and I rate them as the better team tomorrow. I would not go for the straight away win since they still need time to gel and the tiredness from Wednesday could say its word. However, give the current AH line, I am willing to back them with both hands not to lose tonight.
