Doxa v Ermis

Doxa will host Ermis on this first round of Cyprus First Division. This is two completely different level of quality teams and the form at this moment is on Ermis side absolutely.

Ermis made very good last season. They went to Europe in first time of the club's history and where taken out from Young Boys (1-0 and 2-0). After that they won Cyprus Super Cup with quality performance against APOEL (1-2) but I doubt that APOEL in that match played with 100% power as they had important match ahead of them against Aalborg for CL qualification group stage.

Anyway it is a good result and first trophy for this small club that has stadium in outskirts of small town of Larnaca. Ermis has very good board organization and club is doing OK financially - much better than other Cypriot clubs. They are also very motivated and morale boosted from the uplifting win over giants APOEL so for this match they will surely go and give all to win.

On the other side Doxa is under avarage team in Cyprus. Last season they managed to survive and where 1 place above relegation zone. For them this will be another season fighting for survival IMO. They played 3 friendlies and lost all; twice with Omonia (0-1) and (0-2) and where trashed by AEL (7-1). Nothing special from this team.

Ermis is in better form, they already played 3 official games and 2 in Europe. I doubt that Doxa is ready phisicly as is Ermis and also the guests have far better quality players in all positions.

Last season Ermis destroyed Doxa twice; 5-1 at home and 2-4 in the away match.

Anything else than Ermis win will be a surprise.
