亞洲盃 1-10 15:00 烏茲別克 - 北韓 参考乌兹别克
Uzbekistan - North Korea
It has to be noted that North Korea qualified to this tournament via AFC Challenge Cup 2012. Since then they have not played any competitive matches except those in EAFF Cup that really holds not as big meaning as Southeast Suzuki Cup, however North Korea takes EAFF more seriously than Australia, Japan or South Korea who play with largely B-teams. Especially the EAFF qualifiers in November of this year were horrible from North Korea even if they qualified as a winner, however every match was very even and the opponents were TAIWAN, GUAM and HONG KONG.( Don't let the 5-1 scoreline fool you the match vs Guam was very even too) Because of the lack of competitive matches no one knew really what is the ideal lineup of North Korea currently but now it seems like there will be not many changes from the EAFF qualifiers squad.
I think it can be said that North Korea is very far from the quality of that team who qualified for World Cup 2010 and played really well vs Brazil in the first match. And actually there is only 2 players remaining from that squad so it is a big change in only 4.5 years. Star striker "the People's Rooney" Jong Tae Se accepted nationality of South Korea and therefoer is no longer eligible even if he still would be the leading player in this squad.
Moreover most players are from Rimyongsu (in 2010 most established team was April 25) who was outplayed and defeated in the final of the bottom tier club competition of Asia the AFC Presiden'ts Cup by Turkmenistani club FC HTTU in September this year. It has to be said that Turkmen league is very very little brother of Uzbekistan League and this season FC HTTU finished 5th in it trailing the eventual winners by 40 points and even 2nd place by 35 points. Turkmenistan national team boosted by foreign based players was on their behalf a huge disappointment in the AFC Challenge Cup of this year, they didn't even reach semifinals.
North Korea is on a historic low right now since 1960's whereas Uzbekistan is the opposite and one of the few dark horses of this tournament behind South Korea, Australia and Japan to have any chances to win it. Very big value!
