Watford vs Reading
Watford couldn’t get a victory last weekend when they visited Wolves, as the team shared
impressions and a point each in a 2:2 draw. Hosts took the lead in 15th minute via Afobe, but
the visitors responded in 30th minute with a goal from offensive midfielder Vydra.
At the start of second half, Price brought the hosts back into the lead in 51st minute, but the
guests once again replied via Deeny this time. As the time progressed, neither of the teams
wanted to risk a lot and it looked like they were satisfied with a draw. This was a first draw
for Watford after three consecutive victories, as the side remained tied at the top with
Bournemouth, Derby and Middlesbrough, with all four teams having 66 points. Having that in
mind, victory here is the only target for them. Striker Odion Ighalo could return in an
attacking lineup, after he completely recovered from a hamstring injury. Central defender Tommy
Hoban (14/0) is suspended for this game, however.

managed to create much more goalscoring chances out of much less time spent with ball to their
They did return to winning ways against Brighton, but the team still remains highly unstable
under Steve Clark. This was their first victory after four matches without three pointer, as
the team has lost their competitive targets and reasons for this season. They are far away from
play-off positions, but also thirteen points away from relegation as well and they have already
start to test the players and check some of their solutions for the next season. Right back
Chris Gunter (23/0) is doubtful here. They made a number of changed during the midweek’s game
against Brighton and could do the same here.
Watford have won 5 of their last 6 home matches in Championship.
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Watford’s last 7 games in Championship.
Watford is in a good momentum now, have their quality striker back in the team and in case of a
victory here, they could get through to the first two positions that lead directly to Premier
League. it’s just too much of a quality and motives in home side for Reading to be competitive
