This is an interesting matchup becos current coach Peeters of Westerlo is former coach of Lokeren. He got sacked in Lokeren this season after poor beginning of season for Lokeren (but just after a game Peeters won, oh the irony, in Westerlo, 1-2). Previous years, Lokeren played or came close to play-offs and did well in Belgian cup, so they are an ambitious team (although coach and some good players left last season). After sacking of Peeters, there was also a lot of trouble and discussion around this subject, with questioning moment and behavior of owner Lokeren, leaks of mobile texting between 2 coaches involved which turned out fake, etc.

Now, after 4,5 months, the two coaches meet for first time. Leekens is older coach with alot of experience, was coach of national team, big money clubs, known to be a smooth talker, extravagant and distant. He had drawn before attention in Belgium football with strange coach moves, so nothing new under the sun.

On the other hand, Peeters got sacked more then once unfortunately, he probably gone save club again from relegations in what looked lost (he did it before with Waasland Beveren too), he build good relations with players of his squads. Therefore, I think, Westerlo players will be extra motivated to win here for their coach, while I dont see why Lokeren should have extra motivation to win against former, liked, coach who got unfortuanely sacked, rather the opposite is possible, me thinks).

Lokeren played decent derby at Gent last week, but wasnt easy there to win they knew at start and lost 3-1. Westerlo had though game at home against Mouscron, who is also involved in relegations. Westerlo came fast behind on a corner at 4th minute. Then Westerlo could tie and jump over Mouscron, but at half hour already tie. Mouscron put more pressure and had more chances but couldnt finish them. Second half was on less pace, but again more Mouscron chances (offside goal). Near end of game Gounongbe could win game for Westerlo but goalkeeper Vagner saved.

Lokeren has enough with 1 point to stay in first division, but they going here for 3 points for fans cos long time no win at home. Westerlo still need 3, probably 4 points to stay in first division. For Westerlo everybody is fit except Schouterden. Lokeren still are short in switch options, players still unavailable are Ngolok, Persoons and Rassoul. Overmeire and probably also Maric return in selection.

A draw is definitely possible here (4.05 at Pinnacle). I think X2 double chance is bet here with very high chances (2.28 at Unibet), but I think Westerlo can win here (5.40 at Pinnacle) regarding form, circumstances, etc. I see Westerlo +0AH here as good option, for 4.00 at Unibet.
