号称在澳职中拥有最多球迷的墨尔本胜利，打法崇尚进攻，曾经是澳职中入球最多，最富娱乐性的球队。上季胜利火力回升，不过跻身季后赛4强后，有不少主力离队﹔但新加盟的球员实力绝不输蚀，牌面甚至是不跌反升，有机会在今季争取更佳的成绩。

前锋杜罗奥斯、中场汤洛积及后卫阿达马查奥尔分别离队，无疑是比较可惜，特别是杜罗奥斯是阵中首席射手，上季在常规赛攻入12球，不过由布里斯班狮吼新加盟的前锋贝利沙，曾经是澳职神射手，其余几位新签入的球员同样甚具质素，整体牌面可能是近年中最强。

另外，球员时代作为胜利忠臣的梅斯卡特，上季接手领军表现出色，而且对包括射手艾奇汤臣在内的众多主力有充份的认识，得到球员的绝对支持，只要新球员顺利融入球队，就可以踢出比上季更强势的表现，争取自09年后再次夺得澳职锦标。

Team summary: In what is widely considered the most demanding managerial job in Australian football, Kevin Muscat will be under no illusions as to what is expected of him this season. After taking over the reins from Ange Postecoglou three games into the 13-14 season, he managed to guide his side to fourth despite their obvious failings in defence. This term, he will be expected to go all the way to the Grand Final. In the off-season, Muscat has gone a long way in addressing his squad's defensive instabilities by drafting in experienced French centre-back, Matthieu Delpierre, as well as Macedonian left-back, Daniel Georgievski - the latter having played Europa League football with Romanian side Steaua Bucharest. Defensive midfielder and Socceroo, Carl Valeri, has also come to the club and he will partner the re-signed Mark Milligan just in front of the back 4. Last but not least, the most potent striker in the land, Besart Berisha, has arrived from Brisbane Roar and will provide a real sharp edge at the pointy end of the pitch.

Conclusion: Muscat's relationship with Besart Berisha will go a long way in deciding Melbourne Victory's fortunes this season as they are both combustible characters. Muscat's man-management skills will be tested to the max in order to keep peace in the Victory camp. Just how will Delpierre and Georgievski fair in the A-League? Early signs in pre-season are not promising - looks like they will need some time to adjust. The latter has especially large boots to fill, deputizing for who was easily the most gifted full-back in the league, Adama Traore.
