Dinamo Bucharest vs Steaua

The most important match in Liga I will take place between Dinamo and Steaua in Bucharest. Steaua has the best team in last ten years and they are preparing for the Champions League playoff with Legia. They also have the best team in Liga I all opponents admitting their superiority.

On the other hand Dinamo is under construction with a new owner and a new young team. Most probably Steaua will continue its domination winning the sixth consecutive match against Dinamo in Liga I. I don't know how Dinamo players will face the pressure but I surely know Steaua has a team full with pro players and they will play at full capacity.

Steaua always manages to concentrate in important matches, that is why they are the greatest team in Romania. Even with their owner in jail, Steaua showed stability and unity. I expect a match with lots of goals and I don't see Dinamo handling their opponents quality, not with this team that couldn't beat poor teams like Viitorul or Timisoara.Good Luck!!!

OPS vs Ilves

6th placed OPS host 3rd placed Ilves on Sunday. The home side have lost their promotion hopes and are now looking to secure a place in Ykkönen for the next season. The club management have made a conclusion that the club should reduce total wage expenditure. Quite many foreign players have left the club in the recent weeks including Jean Fridolin Nganbe Nganbe, Daniel Chibanca, Ibrahim Peci, Augustine Jibrin and Piotr Gurzeda. Two Montenegrin players, Dorde Vojvodic and Sasa Jovovic have been brought in instead and both featured in the last match where OPS lost to 2nd from bottom side JIPPO 2-1 away from home. OPS' form has been poor following their surprise win over SJK some 3 weeks ago as they've gone 4 matches without a win since then. Defender Pekka Räisänen and forward Lawrence Chiedozie are suspended leaving the home side severely undermanned.

Visitors Ilves were far from convincing against bottom side AC Kajaani on Thursday but 3 goals in the last 10 minutes gave them a 3-0 home win. Form-wise they've been shaky at best, 3-0-2 from the last 5 matches, clearing home matches with considerable difference (5-0 vs PK-35, AC Oulu 6-1, ACK 3-0) only to lose the away matches in between (4-0 vs. KooTeePee, 2-1 vs. JIPPO). Important forward Jonne Hjelm (16/8) returns from one match suspension. Midfield playmaker Kaarlo Rantanen (15/2) is out with a strain injury and youngster Lauri Ala-Myllymäki (2 goals) is with the Finland U17 team. Winger Ville Salonen has returned to action after a long injury.

OPS have been decent at home with a 4-3-2 record, but now that pretty much half of their starting XI has changed since the start of the season I'm confident that Ilves can turn this in their favor, despite the fact that this match will be their 3rd one this week.

Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce

This is Turkish Super Cup final between the last Turkish League Champion Galatasaray and the last Turkish Cup winner Fenerbahce.

Galatasaray played the last match on away against Arsenal in the famous tournament Emirates Cup last Sunday. They managed to lift the trophy after coming back in a match which they were loosing. I have no word to say about Drogba how he changed the destiny of the game by recording 2 goals. Not only Drogba and other offensive players but I also noticed that the defense line of Galatasaray did their job very well as head coach Fatih Terim kept his team a bit more at the back and managed to keep central defenders play more efficient. It is true that before this tournament in other preseason friendly matches, Galatasaray made very serious defensive mistakes however we understood that the problem was the football style and formation of Galatasaray, not the defenders. I can simply say that Galatasaray do not have a very serious defense problem once they play like in this formation and probably they will repeat the same in this match too.

Fenerbahce managed to qualify to the next stage in CHL as they eliminated Salzburg in a nail biting match as their talent goal keeper Volkan made fantastic saves like a magician. It is really true that if Volkan acted like an ordinary goal keeper then Salzburg could have found enough chance to hit the nets. Fenerbahce changed their head coach in the summer and Aykut Kocaman is no longer in the club. Ersun Yanal is the new head coach. I want to emphasize that I do not believe he is the kind of man who can handle the stress of the club and the fans. Besides there had been many issues and even more issues are waiting to be fixed for Fenerbahce. I really wonder what he can do. The biggest bad news for Fenerbahce is the absentee of goal keeper Volkan and the strong offense line of their rival who are really going to be productive in this match. If Fenerbahce play like in the last 2 matches then they will have very serious problems.

Galatasaray have forwarders and an offense line who are on top of their form. Fenerbahce are going to be without best Turkish goal keeper. This match is not going to be played in Sukrusaracoglu where Fenerbahce have stats on behalf of them. I see that this will be one of the easiest derby match of recent years for Galatasaray.
